wash before wear
I have discarded all socks in favour of cables ... a christmas present water bottle cover in a gorgeous colourway from vintage hues (I want to knit a jumper from this wool..one with cables and knots ) .
I have used my generic water bottle pattern and a lovely celtic knot type cable for it .
I have finished one piece .Since I am due at work this afternoon..... .the rest will have to wait until tomorrow .I found a whole array of celtic knot graphs online ..I also found a book I'd like "viking knits ".
.Its a 20 st repeat with a garter st border .
When i soaked the wool for a light block the colour ran something shocking ...definitely would need to wash this before wearing it ..the wool ,that is .
All in all , another excellent woolly yarn from clekheaton and no the photo colour is not a true representation

I know the yarn and it does knit up beautifully! Love those cables. They always look so sophistcated and complicated : ) Nice progress with the Christmas knitting!
I have used this yarn and really liked it (though in a different colour). I like the gradient of colours in the cable pattern - the yarn really suits the stitch pattern.
